So as the previous post said, I promised to dedicate an entire post to my outfit. Actually, more of Rarablack and Corset Me! :P
So recap. I didn't really have anything in-theme to wear to the Johnnie Walker thing except black. like. everyone. else. So as I also mentioned, i wanted to wear my black bustier or my lace one with a simple skirt or jeans.
Picto of said black bustier :

Somewhere last year, DJAN 2011
I miss jump shots. 100% no-photoshop ar!
And here, ancient prom pic.*cough2008cough* in black bustier and a different type of sarong batik.
It's one of my staple outfits, that I pace out very, very carefully. My trusty black busti(er) from Avon. Always paired with a batik sarong. I like it because I know no one else will be wearing the same thing where I'm going, so, WIN.
look at all these babies. So THE PRETTY. TILL CANNOT TAHANS
Anyway, back on track, as I was saying, bossman got us to Rara Blacks hideaway, and I was just browsing, and was about to go try on some dresses that I didn't feel worthy of wearing, when Charmaine asked, "Do you wear corsets?"
DINGDINGDINGDINGDING~~!
She said the magic word and I'm like....YES! And she goes to get them. And starts taking them out to show me and and and and the one that catches my eye is this one :
The golden one right in the middle.
(this is taken from their site btw)
It's under Corset Me
THAT ONE. I actually double checked to see if there were other colours or gold pieces that I missed out, but nope. that's the one. And I had to try it on. She gave me a black pencil skirt to try it with. and ta-da. Sold. I was sold on it. And I had to take the black pencil skirt. because believe it or not, I have been trying to hunt one down for the longest time. And sadly enough, with such curves they don't all fit well. So this one fit.So i wants. Did i mention i was also trying to hunt down a nice skinny belt? did i mention what came free with the skirt? So yes. all is wants.
She mentioned that the corset also came in blue and green, which i find super mermaidy, which i also love, but gold is what it is because :
1. I needed gold for the event which is what the outfit is for
2. Gold is a staple as it matches everything and anything? ( think Gryffindor)
3. Gold is classy and elegant, but paired right, it can be incredibly fun as well!
So gold it was! And did i mention how gold it was? It was a mix of textures, smooth metallic satin sheen on the sides, and darker more textured wire-wool like part down front. Up close:
Hopefully you can see what i meant :p
There's hooks on the front, which.was.a.major.challenge.to.put.on.by.myself.
Also being the genius that i am, i didn't take pictures of the back.
So, here is a professionally taken one from the webbie:
So let's pretend I look that hot from the back as well.
Yea, the back is a lace up, and pretttyyyyy harrdddd to tie up
Thank God Charmaine taught me how to lace/hook myself in. So with much ngnhhhhhs and uuurrrggghhhhs and eeeeeeiiiiiirhhhhhhs.... it was done and I was IN! So much work! Black and gold is easy peasy to match with accessories, but I took the safe route and went with a chunky black necklace and earrings. Hair, with all that leftover highlight, it's pretty much a star on its own, so I left it as it is, and just enough make up. Paired the ensemble with my usual black strapped heels and my cute cute bowtie bag, and I was set :D
Entire ensemble. in poor lighting :(
In detail:
My hair and chunky necklace. With the other golden Rara Black girl ;)

I never go without my glasses. Ever.
As you know from the previous post, yes i had fun.
But in this post, yes....i LOVED my outfit.
The only downside was getting a piece of confetti stuck right down the middle and i couldnt get it out till i took it off. ITCH MUCH ? D: D:
